Darrell Winn

Darrell Winn, age 69, a loving and humble soul, peacefully passed away on December 9, 2024. Born on April 11, 1955, in Pineville, KY. Darrell was a beacon of kindness and generosity in his community of Williamsburg, KY. He was a steadfast man of faith, always using his musical talents to uplift and inspire others in his congregation at the Little Cane Creek Church. His passion for playing the guitar and mandolin brought joy to many, and his music will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. Darrell was a devoted husband to his wife, June Wynn of Williamsburg, KY; and a loving father to his sons, Marty Robert Wynn and Johnny Wynn of Williamsburg, KY; he was a cherished brother, to Doyle Wynn and his wife Brenda of Williamsburg, KY. His memory will also be fondly remembered by his several nieces and nephews; along with a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Acus and Minnie Wynn; his daughter, Jeanne Wynn; his brothers, Billy Wynn, Rev. James Wynn, JB Wynn and Willie Wynn; and his sisters, Doris Daughtery, Hazel Davis, Hattie Bryant, and Joie Rivers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, at 5:00 pm at the Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, KY. A service to celebrate Darrell’s life will be held on Friday, December 13, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Hurst officiating. His burial service will follow at 2:00 pm at the Mulberry Community Church Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY. In accordance with Darrell’s faith, we find comfort in the words of Psalm 100: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” We invite all who knew and loved Darrell to leave memories and upload photos to his memorial page as we remember his humility, love, and the joyous music he brought into our lives.
