Eldon Gerald Bryson

SCRANTON – Eldon Gerald Bryson, Scranton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at Aldersgate, Topeka. He was 88.
He was born Jan. 18, 1936, in Scranton, the son of Lloyd and Florence (Neil) Bryson. He grew up and lived all his life around the Scranton community.
On May 25, 1958, Eldon was united in marriage to Janette Duwall in Osage City. To this union, two children were born, Greg and Diana.
Eldon was a farmer and stockman all his life, and he operated Bryson’s Machine Shop for many years as well.
He served in the Kansas National Guard and was a member of the American Agriculture Movement.
Eldon was preceded in death by his wife, Janette (Nov. 7, 2010); his parents, Lloyd and Florence; and his four brothers, Lloyd Jr. “Tex,” Donald, Gene and Arlon.
He is survived by his children, Greg Bryson (Barb), Scranton, and Diana Quaney, Burlingame; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Sept. 27 at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, southeast of Scranton. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 26 at the funeral home.
